Key Indicator 1 & Greater engagement of pupils in regular physical activity

Success Criteria

CPD for lunchtime supervisors will further develop the provision for physical activity, providing greater opportunities at break times for pupils to be physically active, reducing the number of pupils who choose not to engage in physical activity.

Impact

Lunchtime supervisors have received training and support to further develop provisions during break times. A greater number of pupils now engage in a range of physical activities, with adults confidently supporting pupils during this time.

Key Indicator 2 & CPD for ‘Early Career Teachers’

Success Criteria

CPD for Early Career Teachers will provide consistency in the provision for Physical Education across the academy, while also enabling the development and sustainability of a high quality PE provision across the academy.

Impact

Early Career Teachers provide well structured lessons which pupils enjoy and actively engage in. This engagement has led to a greater number of sporting events and opportunities this academic year.

Success Criteria

Further enhanced provision for sporting activities, expanding the PE offer for all pupils. Continue to explore sporting opportunities that are available within the local area. Further develop links with other educational settings to enhance multi-school sporting events. Further develop academy ‘houses’ (competitive teams) to raise the profile, participation and enjoyment of sports.

Impact

Pupils have engaged in a wider range of sporting events and opportunities this academic year. This has been supported through further developed links with other educational settings and sporting opportunities in the local area. The academy has raised the profile of physical development across the academy, which has been supported by the successful development of ‘houses’ (competitive teams). All academy stakeholders, including parents, now engage in discussions around physical activities and sporting events.
