Home-Academy Agreement
The home-academy agreement is part of our Behaviour Management Policy. It is a written statement of the expectations between the parents, the academy and child, to enable successful learning to take place.
Please see front reception in regards to any questions or concerns about this policy agreement.
Open Evenings and Reports
Open Evenings are held three times a year to enable parents and teachers to meet to discuss their child’s work. At the end of the summer term a full written report is sent to parents.
Parents of children in Year 2 and Year 6 also receive the results of the Standard Assessment Tasks (SATs). The most recent National SATs results as well as those of Tree Tops Primary Academy are available from the Academy Reception.
Security
KS1 children will enter through the corner gate in Wallis Avenue (Meet and Greet playground) and KS2 children will enter through the Brishing Lane pedestrian gate. Each gate will open at 8:45 am.
At the end of each day all teachers will take their class to the gates to dismiss them to parents. Year R, 1, 2 & 3 through the Meet and Greet gate and Year 4, 5 & 6 through the Brishing Lane pedestrian gate
All late arrivals will have to go to the school office in Brishing Lane.
On rainy days all children will go straight in. They will still enter the academy through the Meet and Greet playground by Wallis Avenue. At the end of the day all infant teachers will take their class out onto the Meet and Greet playground where they will meet their parents.
Valuable Articles and Jewellery
For Health and Safety reasons, pupils are not allowed to wear jewellery into school. The only exceptions are small stud ear-rings BUT these should be removed for PE lessons. In no circumstances is make-up or nail varnish allowed. Children will be asked to remove this.
If parents are planning to have their children’s ears pierced, please arrange for this to be done at the end of the Summer Term so that there are 6 weeks of school holidays for healing time. Otherwise children will have to be excluded from PE/Games until the earrings can be removed for the lesson.
Parents are asked to co-operate in this matter.
Personal Property
Parents and carers are asked to clearly mark clothes and other property with their child’s name. This is very important. Tree Tops Primary Academy does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal property of pupils.
Healthy Living
Tree Tops Primary Academy promotes healthy living and free milk is provided for our Nursery children.
Healthy snacks/fruit is given to Reception and Key Stage One children at break times and this is provided free by the Government.
